Carter was absent during the seven-time Super Rugby champions' matches against the Stormers (won 19-14) and Sharks (lost 21-17) in South Africa as he celebrated the birth of his first child, son Marco.
Carter is set to start against the Force in Perth on Saturday (kick-off at 13:45 SA time).
