Bulls still sweat on Serfontein
Cape Town - The Bulls are still sweating on the availability of centre Jan Serfontein ahead of their Super Rugby clash against the Sharks in Durban on Saturday.
In a fitness report released by the Bulls earlier this week, the Bok centre was declared fit to face the Durbanites after sitting out the last few weeks.
However, according to Netwerk24, Serfontein is still struggling with a hip injury and his availability for Saturday’s clash remains in doubt.
Flyhalf Handre Pollard and hooker Adriaan Strauss are fit though and will be included in the Bulls starting line-up.
Pollard’s availability comes at the right time, after it emerged that Jacques-Louis Potgieter has a torn hamstring.
“Adriaan and Pollie (Pollard) have recovered well and we’ll definitely consider them. Both are leaders in the team and Handre is a good decision maker at 10,” coach Frans Ludeke said.
With Potgieter out, Tian Schoeman will be the reserve flyhalf.
Saturday’s clash at Kings Park kicks off at 17:05.
