Bulls put Kings to the sword

Cape Town - The Bulls have beaten the Kings in their Super Rugby clash in front of a capacity crowd at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.

The Bulls won 34-0 after leading 20-0 at half-time.

The Bulls scored four tries through centre Jan Serfontein, scrumhalf Jano Vermaak, replacement loose forward Jacques Potgieter and wing Akona Ndungane. Flyhalf Morne Steyn landed two conversions as well as a penalty and a drop goal. Replacement flyhalf Louis Fouche added two conversions of his own.

The Bulls picked up a full-house of five points for their victory and moved to the top of the South African Conference and third in the Overall log.

The Kings left empty-handed and remained bottom of the SA Conference and 14th in the Overall standings.

In next weekend's Round 11 action, the Bulls host the Waratahs at Loftus Versfeld (Saturday, April 27 at 17:05), while the Kings travel to Bloemfontein to play the Cheetahs (Saturday, April 27 at 19:10).
