Brussow is set to return home from Australasia, and joins a growing casualty list that has resulted in Andries Strauss (groin), Frans Viljoen (hamstring), Rayno Benjamin (hamstring), Hennie Daniller (calf), Juan Smith (Achilles) and Adriaan Strauss (fractured hand) all being sidelined.

The Springbok flank had played just three games after returning from a lengthy injury layoff.

The Cheetahs face the Blues in Auckland on Saturday. Kick-off is at 06:30 SA time.

The Cheetahs conclude their Australasia tour against the Highlanders in Dunedin on Friday, April 8.
