Brumbies thrash Force in Perth

Cape Town - The Brumbies have taken over at the top of the Australian Conference after their victory over the Force in Perth on Friday.

The Brumbies won 33-20 after leading 21-6 at half-time.

The Brumbies scored five tries through flank David Pocock (3), flyhalf Christian Lealiifano and replacement front rower Allan Alaalatoa. Lealiifano was on target with four conversions.

The Force replied with tries by replacement prop Tetera Faulkner and wing Luke Morahan. Flyhalf Zack Holmes added both conversions and two penalties.

The Brumbies picked up a full-house of five points for their victory and moved to the top of the Australian Conference and into second place in the Overall standings.

The Force left empty-handed and remained rooted to the bottom of both the Australian Conference and Overall log.

In next weekend's Round 18 action, the Brumbies welcome the Crusaders to Canberra (Saturday, June 13 at 07:30), while the Force travel to Melbourne to take on the Rebels (Friday, June 12 at 11:40).
