Brumbies the team to beat?

Cape Town - The Brumbies will be crowned 2014 Vodacom Super Rugby champions - if bookmakers are to be believed...

The Brumbies, currently atop the Australian Conference and in second place in the Overall standings, have been installed as 33/10 favourites to add to their titles from 2001 and 2004, by SA bookies BetXchange.

The Sharks, Crusaders and Chiefs are all 'next best' at 4/1, followed by the Waratahs (11/2), Hurricanes (16/1) and Force (25/1).

The Highlanders and Blues (both 40/1) and Bulls (50/1) are considered outsiders, while the Reds (200/1), Stormers (300/1), Rebels (300/1), Lions (1 000/1) and Cheetahs (1 000/1) are probably not worth wasting your money on.

The Sharks, South Africa's only legitimate title challenger at this stage, are about to embark on their four-match Australasian tour, during which they face a potentially title-deciding clash against the Brumbies in Canberra on Saturday, May 10 at 11:40 SA time.
