Brumbies bench SA-born prop

Cape Town - Brumbies coach Jake White has selected South African-born prop Ruan Smith on the bench for their Super Rugby clash against the Waratahs in Sydney on Saturday.

Kick-off is at 11:40 SA time.

Smith, standing 188cm tall and weighing 123kg, made his Super Rugby debut for the Force during the 2012 season. He previously played for Western Province in the Vodacom Cup.

Meanwhile, in a blow for the Brumbies, prop Dan Palmer will miss the match through injury. Scott Sio replaces him in the front row.
