Blues forced into changes

Cape Town - The Blues have made two forced changes to their side to take on the Stormers in a Super Rugby clash at Newlands on Friday evening.

Gareth Anscombe retains his place at flyhalf after scoring all 29 points, including two tries, in their win over the Bulls in Pretoria last week.

According to the stuff.co.nz website, David Raikuna has been brought onto the right wing, replacing Rene Ranger, who's suspended for two weeks for a dangerous tackle on Bulls wing Bjorn Basson, with Sherwin Stowers moving to Ranger's vacant left wing.

All Blacks lock Anthony Boric has also been ruled out with a neck injury, paving the way for Filo Paulo's first appearance of the season.

The Blues are also without Michael Hobbs, because of the death of his father, Jock, while Isaia Toeava, Rudi Wulf and George Moala are all injured, forcing coach Pat Lam to dig into his wider training group.

Sevens player Ben Lam and midfielder Hadleigh Parkes will cover those absences from the bench.

Kick-off is at 19:10 on Friday.
