Cape Town - Bismarck du Plessis can count himself one lucky hooker after receiving only a four-week ban for kicking out at an opponent, say Sport24 readers.

Known serial offender, Du Plessis was shown a straight red for kicking Chiefs No 8 Michael Leitch in the head in the 18th minute of their Vodacom Super Rugby match in Durban on Saturday.

At Sunday's judicial hearing, Du Plessis - no stranger to such hearings - was handed a ban up until and including April 18, 2015.
