Benjamin starts for Cheetahs

Bloemfontein - Cheetahs coach Naka Drotské has made only one change to his side for their Super Rugby encounter against the Southern Kings in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.

Drotské has opted to relegate winger Raymond Rhule to the replacement bench, promoting Rayno Benjamin to the starting line-up.

Benjamin will switch places with Willie le Roux, who was included in the Springbok training squad earlier on Wednesday.

Drotské has left his tight five as is after they dominated the Reds last weekend in set-pieces.

"I think we have done really well the last couple of weeks in the scrums and lineouts," said Cheetahs captain Adriaan Strauss.

"The guys have worked really hard and much of the credit must go to Os du Randt for his efforts with the forwards.

"We will have to take the Kings on up front and are looking forward to the challenge."

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
