Liebenberg cleared to play

Cape Town - Disciplinary Hearings were held in Cape Town on Monday into the citings of Stormers hooker Tiaan Liebenberg and Western Force wing Haig Sare following Saturday’s Super 14 match at Newlands.

The Stormers defeated the Force 25-24.

Their cases were heard in Cape Town by SANZAR Judicial Officer Attorney Peter Ingwersen and the outcomes were as follow:

Liebenberg and Sare were both cited for punching each other in the 35th minute of the match.

The cases of the players were not upheld by the Judicial Officer. As a result both players will be available for selection for their respective teams in this weekend’s Super 14 fixtures.
