Johannesburg - Springbok winger Bryan Habana is ready to regain the mojo that made him a superstar.

Habana rejoined the Bulls on Saturday morning in Dunedin after missing the first two weeks of the tour due to an injury and will be considered for Friday's game against the Crusaders in Christchurch.

Afrikaans Sunday newspaper Sondag reported that Habana had spent part of the last two weeks with Professor Tim Noakes and visual skills specialist Dr Sheryl Calder, who played a major part in the Springboks 2007 World Cup triumph.

Calder, in particular, helped Habana at his own request to try and get his timing right and sharpen his skills.

"I am convinced that he will be the old Habana pretty soon," Calder told Sondag.

Calder started her work with Habana before the current season where she could see a difference in his skills.

"I could see his skills had gone backwards," Calder said, "He showed an improvement before the Lions Super 14 game and it was really a pity that he was injured when he was."

Calder added that Habana's timing on defence and his kicking out of hand were two aspects that he could still better in his all-round game.

"There have been improvements but it will take time before he is back at his best. The secret is to practice to keep your skills at the same level."

Calder added that the exercises in which she has coached Habana will also help him with his decisions on the field.

"He has said in the past that I had made his hands as quick as his feet and I hope he gets to that point again."
