Sold Out! (File)

Pretoria - The doomsayers were proved wrong on Monday as Bulls fans snapped up every single ticket available to the public for Saturday’s historic Vodacom Super 14 semifinal in Soweto.

The Orlando clash between the defending Super 14 champs, the Vodacom Bulls and seven time champions, the Crusaders, is now a certain sell-out and should ensure a classic encounter for the first rugby match of this magnitude in the Johannesburg township.

The Bulls announced that a limited amount of tickets were up for sale, after the suite holders got their share on Monday as well. Season ticket holders will need to ensure they take up their tickets by Tuesday, or any remaining tickets will be released to the public.

“Tickets for the Vodacom Super 14 semifinal at Orlando Stadium in Soweto on 22 May 2010 have been sold out,” the Bulls announced in a press statement. “ The tickets for the public were available at Computicket from 09h00 this morning, but sold out in hours.

“Tickets not taken up by season ticket holders by Tuesday 18 May at 16:00 will be released to the public and an announcement in this regard will be communicated as soon as possible.”

At the same time the Bulls released information about the Park and Ride facilities from Supersport Park and Nasrec to ferry spectators to the games.

But after promising fans a “boot braai” at Nasrec, the Bulls have had to relent and now because of regulations at the various venues, no braais will be allowed at either facility.

However, the Bulls have promised a beer tent and entertainment when fans arrive at Orlando. The information about the transportation is as follows:

Park and Ride SuperSport Park:
There will be a park and ride facility available at SuperSport Park in Centurion. Cost: R 100 per person and tickets will be available from Computicket on Tuesday, 18 May 2010 at 13h00. Only 4000 tickets are available. On Saturday:

Busses will depart from SuperSport Park between: 11h00 and 13h00.
Busses will depart from Orlando Stadium between: 19h00 and 21h00.
Please note that due to the rules and regulations of no liquor or braais will be allowed in the Supersport Park parking area.

Park and Ride at Nasrec:
There will be 8000 secure parking bays available at Nasrec. Cost: R 30 per vehicle for parking. R 25 traveling cost per person for the bus transfer to and from Orlando Stadium. Tickets will be available from Computicket on Tuesday, 18 May 2010 at 13h00. Please note that due to the rules and regulations of the City of Johannesburg no liquor or braais will be allowed in the Nasrec parking area.

Arriving at Orlando Stadium

All tickets purchased from Computicket or SuperSport Park must be picked up before 16h00 on Friday May 21st. No tickets will be available for collection on match day and no tickets will be available at the stadium. Nobody will be allowed near the stadium without a valid ticket.

Supporters are encouraged to arrive early at the stadium and wear blue to support the Vodacom Bulls. There will be a beer garden available with entertainment as well as other refreshments before and after the game. There will also be on-field entertainment available in the stadium from 16h00.

Wow, I cannot believe how angry and negative we are. What's the point of making comments if it's not going to serve a constructive purpose? I've got my tickets for the Bulls game, and I'll be arriving early. I've heard all about this massive mall in Soweto, I'm gonna check it out while I'm there.

I'm a sharks supporter but have to say "good luck " to the blue bulls hope you guys win. What i feel sorry for is that the bulls haven't even got a stadium any more, you guys are more than welcome to use the sharks stadium. Go bulle we support you, even though we are sharks!!!!

Ek lees so deer al julle kak wat julle praat.Tiepies suid afrikaners.

Who are the Bulls going to take their anger and frustration out on after they get thumped by the Saders? Look for k*k with the locals as you normally do when in Cape Town and you won't get a gentlemanly send - off. A long ride home with lots of klippies to consume - poor wife, kids and dog.

Why such a big fuss about the parking? Half of the spectators don't need parking, they just need to walk over from their homes in Soweto!

A lot of sore losers going to be in seweto sat at 7 shame and they cant then even drive home theirselfs before going back in taxi's to loftus, kriek kriek

Daarom is daar nie treine Saterdag nie.
nee man5/18/2010 8:56 AM
@parking, seker oor daar so 3 of 4 mense in n kar kan ry 4 x 8000 = 32 000 en nog 4000, 36 000. of as jy sukkel om die som te maak, park op die paving
Bloutrein5/18/2010 8:54 AM
Super 14 final 2010: Vodacom Blue Bulls V.S The Waratahs, Orlando stadium, Soweto, Johannesburg @ 17:00. Stormbarian supporters we know you will support the champion Bulls.
Anton5/18/2010 8:54 AM
I think it is great for the game to be sold out. @Parking You asume that all fans will drive on their own., and there will be 8 000 SECURE parking spaces at Nasrec, so there will be more parking near the ground. Catch a wake up and stop critisizing everything the Bulls do. Kudos to the BB management and all who helped organise everything, hope everything goes well.. Good luck my Bulls and the Stormers
Blue Player 235/18/2010 8:53 AM
@Parking: You should leave the technical stuff to the experts (children in grade1). 8000 Parking spots = 8000 cars/minibuses/buses = 32000 people (average 4 persons per vehicle). 4000 tickets = 4000 people. That, my friend adds up to 36000 people. Get the picture?
Annette5/18/2010 8:52 AM
@bulls for life. So eintlik wil hul almal hier in DA land woon. Shame . STORMERS BO. Wen of verloor ons bly Stormer ondersteuners.

All very nation building and Kumba ya until the 1st inebriated Bullbelly makes a comment or has a little whinge... I still think this is a magnificent initiative and can't wait to see the footage pre game.
Parking5/18/2010 8:22 AM
So if there is 8000 parking spots at Nasrec and 4000 bus tickets from Centurion, how are the other 28000 people going to get there?
Smiley5/18/2010 8:19 AM

Ek het my kaartjie.
Blackie5/18/2010 8:11 AM
Môre "Park and ride ek sê".
Lefty@park and ride ek se5/18/2010 7:58 AM
Jy is n groot poepol , Orlando is uitverkoop met 40 000 kaartjies . Jy klink suurdrywe . En net so by the way . Gaan K... man !!! Dis twee SA spanne in die semis . GAAN BULLE !!!! Stormers !!!
Karen_za5/18/2010 7:14 AM
Good Luck to the Bulls!!!! I hope the fans have a wonderful time at the new Soweto Stadium.
@park and ride5/18/2010 7:13 AM
@Park and ride,,,, Ons het nie lus vir jou rassistiese opmerking en pesimisme nie, hierdie is 'n semi finaal wat deur die bbm gekies is , en nie die publiek nie, wanneer laas was jy in soweto, nie so sleg nie, moet net nie kak soek nie, jou lewe is net soveel werd in soweto as in skaapstad of in jhb of in bloem, ons het lankal vrede gemaak daarmee, kyk vir jouself uit, as jy nie daarvan hou nie, vat jou goed en gaan soek 'n ander land, jou attitude staar niemand aan nie,hel man waarvoor was 1994 se verkiesing, om van mense soos jy ontslae te raak, get a grip man
Tinus5/18/2010 7:10 AM
The R100 per person park and ride cost is more than a normal super14 game ticket price. RIDICULOUS! That means an extra 200 bucks for me and my wife just to get there? Who decided on R100 per person from Pretoria to Orlando? Is that even 25km? Someone is making a killing out of this, and simply because there is no alternative.
Gareth5/18/2010 6:46 AM
Finaly, something we can be proud of. This is how we bring a nation together. I hope that this is one of many such rugby events, and a good indication of the SA spirit during the Soccer World Cup. GO BULLS!

Mag jul gewere invat?Jy sal darem sien hoe hol die spul dikg@t grootbek Afrikaner BB ondersteuners as die "eerste skote klap".Hoe gaan die ouens soos Bulla en die ander werfetters nou maak as daar geen RY EN BAKLEI bus die naweek is nie!? GO SADERS!
Eggs and Chickens - the truth5/17/2010 10:50 PM
@Disa - you have it wrong, Tahs vs Saders in Sidney bigger reality than Barians against Saders, still the most realistic result will be Barians against Bulls in Soweto. Even the bookmakers in Aus and NZ calls the odds on that, UK Bookies - same call. Now you also know who 'support' the ref's. O yes Maruis Jonker was also part of the JFK conspiracy.
Unbiased, but honest lol5/17/2010 10:45 PM
Can some one tell us how many fans other than Bulls fans will be approximately having tried to purchase tickets to watch this game after Tuesday to Friday, but to no availability Doubt Crusaders will have many fans of their own, excepting those who will battle/struggle or are lucky to watch a game in their own home ground.Am sure that so many of them would have loved to watch the game. Am sure that a few thousand of them will get tickets, but then who are these lucky people, no guess needed, Off course I know who they will be, and u r also aware who they will be,Wonder if Julius Malema will get a ticket, but then, nothing is impossible, not who you know, but whom you know.Going to be a great game, Crusaders were very unlucky to lose to The Bulls, They were the better side, you know it, and dont PLEASE say they werent lo lol lol lol

I got my ticket today! So excited, great day for the Bulls, great day for SA Rugby and a great day for building a nation. I am going to have a Zamalek when I get there. The Bulls have done the most to support Bafana. The tickets for Orlando sold out within hours today. What can I say, the Bulls and their fans are the best in South Africa. I can't say the same about the Stormers fans, who are just very rude and negative about the Bulls playing in Soweto. What do expect from a bunch of clowns that voted the DA into power.
