Canberra - The Brumbies have signed promising young Waratahs tighthead prop Dan Palmer for the next two Super rugby seasons.
Palmer, 21, played eight Super 14 matches for the Waratahs in 2008 and 2009 but has been stuck behind Wallabies Benn Robinson, Al Baxter and Sekope Kepu this year and is yet to take the field.
"The direction the Brumbies are heading in was a key consideration for me, as was putting myself in a position where I could play some regular rugby," Palmer said.
Brumbies coach Andy Friend said Palmer was a player with a big future.
"Dan is one of the highest regarded front row prospects in the country at the moment," he said.
