Bookies back Bulls for title

Garrin Lambley

Cape Town - South African bookmakers are backing the Bulls to win their third Super 14 final against the Stormers in Soweto on Saturday.

Kick-off is at 17:00.

Leading SA bookies, GreatOdds, have the Bulls on offer at 9/20 to win their third title in four years after their 2007 victory over the Sharks (20-19) and their 2009 annihilation of the Chiefs (61-17).

The Stormers can be backed at 8/5 to win their first Super Rugby title.

The Bulls, who elected to play their semi-final and the final at the newly-refurbished Orlando Stadium in Soweto after FIFA took ownership of Loftus Versfeld for the upcoming Soccer World Cup, have been given a four-point handicap in the match.

Another potentially lucrative bet on offer is the First Tryscorer where Bulls wing Francois Hougaard and Stormers flyer Bryan Habana are 12/1 joint favourites to score the opening try.

A tryless final is on offer at 22/1.
