With only one pre-season fixture scheduled for the defending champs, Ludeke has little room to gamble, and therefore will rather concentrate on getting his combinations right in Polokwane before his side’s opening Vodacom Super 14 game against the Vodacom Cheetahs on February 11.
“Its our only game before the start of the competition, so we won’t play around,” Ludeke told Supersport.com.
“We will keep the combinations as close to how we want to play to ensure that we don’t have to make too many adjustments.”
The Bulls will therefore be as close to their starting line-up in the second of the two games played on the evening, giving their fans in the Limpopo province a good indication of what they can expect for the start of the season.
The only Bulls players who will not be considered are the injured quartet of Chiliboy Ralepelle, Francois Hougaard, Akona Ndungane and Bakkies Botha.
With former All Black Carlos Spencer likely to be marshalling his side’s backline during the same match, a mouthwatering clash is on the cards, even though it may only be a warm-up match.
