Steyn lands monster drop goal

Paris - Francois Steyn has a reputation as having the biggest boot in world rugby and he lived up to that billing with an extraordinary drop goal in France's Top 14 playoff match between Racing Metro and Clermont.

VIDEO: Watch Steyn's monster drop goal

With his side 14-12 ahead and aiming for a place in the semi-finals of France's domestic championship, the South African World Cup winner unleashed a drop goal from fully 60 metres away.

Not only did it clear the posts, it would have been good from another 20 metres.

Sadly for Steyn, who earns an estimated €750 000 per season with the Paris-based club, his team eventually lost the match 21-17.
