Bok discipline must improve

Cape Town - Springbok coach Heyneke Meyer has admitted that his team's discipline must improve as they prepare to face France in their final Test of 2013.

When Marcell Coetzee received a yellow card for a high tackle against Scotland last week he was the 10th Springbok to be sin-binned in 11 Tests this year.

The Boks have won nine out of those 11 games, but the coach nevertheless admitted it was an alarming stat.

In an interview with the SA Rugbymag website, Meyer said the criticism they received is fair. The majority of those cards have been for professional fouls, instead of foul play, but Meyer said they can't afford to go down to 14 men again on Saturday.

Meyer also said he wants the Boks' high penalty count to "come down" and urged his players to adapt to the style of the referee.

Wayne Barnes of England will referee the match at the Stade de France, which kicks off at 22:00 (SA time) on Saturday.
