Springboks 2017: By the numbers

Cape Town - The Springboks have finished 2017 with 7 wins, 4 losses and 2 draws from their 13 Tests.

While that may be a significant improvement from their 4 wins and 8 defeats in 2016, it might not be enough to save coach Allister Coetzee from getting the sack when SA Rugby meets in mid-December to discuss his performance.

The year started with a lot of hope after five straight wins - three against France and two against Argentina - but a 57-0 loss against the All Blacks in Albany quickly brought the Boks crashing back down to earth.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
