Mbalula takes swipe at Zapiro cartoon

Cape Town - South African sports minister Fikile Mbalula has voiced his disapproval at renowned cartoonist Zapiro's latest work that portrays Springbok coach Allister Coetzee struggling to balance transformation and winning at the same time.

The cartoon, which appeared on Times Live on Thursday, shows Coetzee trying to catch two rugby balls at the same time - one labeled 'transformation' and the other 'winning'.

The piece quickly made its way onto social media, with Mbalula leading the chorus of those taking issue.

The sports minister took to Twitter to refer to the cartoon as "racism" and "insulting".
