Ex-Bok Charlie Cockrell dies

Cape Town - Former Springbok hooker Charlie Cockrell passed away here on Tuesday night after suffering a heart attack.

He was 77 years old.

Cockrell played three Tests for the Springboks between 1969 and 1970.

He was a legend at Western Province, having been forwards coach of the WP team that won the Currie Cup a record five times in a row between 1982 and 1986.
