Boks to win by 11 - bookies

Cape Town - The Springboks will bounce back and comfortably beat Ireland in the second Test in Johannesburg on Saturday, local bookmakers have predicted.

Ireland created history last week when they beat South Africa 26-20 at Newlands.

It was their first win over the Springboks in South Africa in eight attempts and they also did so by playing the majority of the match with 14 men, following the sending off of flank CJ Stander.

However local bookmakers, Sportingbet.co.za, feel Allister Coetzee’s men will rebound and beat Ireland by 11 points this weekend.

Last week, the same bookmakers -as well as most pundits - tipped the Boks to win the first Test by 15 points.

Overall, the two nations have faced each other in 23 Tests, with South Africa boasting a 16-6 win-loss ratio, with one match ending in a draw.

Ireland though have now won five of the last seven Tests played between the nations.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
