Bidvest joins SA Rugby partner family

Cape Town - Another South African business success story, Bidvest, has partnered with SA Rugby and on Thursday announced that they will come on board for the three-Test against Ireland.

The deal between Bidvest - a multinational services, trading and distribution company listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange - and SA Rugby will see their logo feature on the Springboks’ shorts for the Ireland series, as well as a logo placement on the field for the Tests.

“The support top South African companies are showing the Springboks has been very encouraging,” said Jurie Roux, CEO of SA Rugby.

“Bidvest are a South African success story and they have seen the value of associating with the success story that is the Springboks.

“There are many similarities between Bidvest and the Springboks. Bidvest operates in a big business environment and is run with determination and commitment - just like the Boks. They also believe in empowering people, building relationships and improving lives and it’s great to have them on board.”

Lindsay Ralphs, CEO of Bidvest, said the new partnership with SA Rugby showed their commitment to South Africa and one of the country’s biggest international ‘brands’.

“We’re delighted to be backing the Boks for their series against Ireland,” said Ralphs. “The Springboks are a byword for South Africa in the world and we’re proud to be associated with them.

“The incoming series is the start of a new era for Springbok rugby and we are excited to be a part of this prestigious event. Our association with the Springboks is a perfect fit for our brand and what we stand for.”

This comes after SA Rugby on Monday announced it was partnering with Blue Label Telecoms for the Ireland series.

Blue Label Telecoms’ name and branding will appear on the Springboks’ jersey for the series as well as in a number of on-and off-field areas.
