Verdict deferred in Lee citing

Mbombela -  Judicial Officer, Christopher Quinlan has on Saturday deferred his verdict in the citing of Wales prop Samson Lee.

The tighthead was cited by match commissioner James Absaloms of Kenya for allegedly breaching law 10.4 (a) – striking or punching an opponent – after he allegedly struck Springbok lock Flip van der Merwe, with his head, in the 15th minute of the second half of the Test between Wales and South Africa in Nelspruit on Saturday.

South Africa won the match 31-30.

The announcement of the verdict is expected in mid-week.
