Toulon target Habana

Paris - Toulon president Mourad Boudjellal says he is confident of signing South Africa winger Bryan Habana next season.

The 29-year-old Habana is South Africa's leading try scorer with 47, and his try against New Zealand in September was picked as the try of the year by the International Rugby Players' Association last month. Habana was a key player in the team which won the World Cup five years ago.

Speaking on French sports daily L'Equipe's television channel Friday, Boudjellal said the chances of Habana joining Toulon are "closer to 10 than zero." Toulon already boasts flyhalf Jonny Wilkinson, former South Africa lock Bakkies Botha and Australia's 92-test veteran Matt Giteau.

Toulon leads the Top 14 league by five points from Toulouse.
