Cape Town - The South African Rugby Union (SARU) and new Springbok coach Heyneke Meyer look set to meet with Rassie Erasmus to discuss a role as Bok technical analyst.
The Rapport newspaper reports that Erasmus will definitely be the Springboks' technical analyst on a full-time basis.
Rapport reported a few weeks ago about this particular role for Erasmus but the former Senior Professional Coach at Western Province denied the report at the time.
However, Erasmus will meet with Meyer and SARU this week to discuss his contract.
It also seems a foregone conclusion that Bok Sevens coach Paul Treu will also become part of Meyer's team, possibly with the aim of developing him into the future Springbok coach.
However, Treu won't necessarily be lost to the Sevens game as SARU wants him to take the Blitzbokke to the Olympics in 2016.
Meyer is apparently also keen to lure more members of the Blue Bulls' coaching staff to the national setup, with defence coach John McFarland, conditioning coach Bazil Carzis as well as forwards coach Johann van Graan all in Meyer's sights.
But all three currently have contracts at the Blue Bulls and SARU isn't keen to dish out more cash after they had to pay the Blue Bulls union a large amount as compensation for releasing Meyer from his contract.
Consultants will also be used on a regular basis by the Boks, with Victor Matfield (lineouts) and Louis Koen (kicking) apparently already identified.
