Cape Town - Wales prop Samson Lee has been banned for five weeks for a headbutt on Springbok lock Flip van der Merwe.
The incident occurred in the 55th minute of the second Test between Wales and South Africa in Nelspruit last Saturday.
South Africa won the match 31-30.
According to the Rugby365 website, IRB disciplinary officer Christopher Quinlan initially imposed a 10-week suspension, but the ban was halved because of Lee's admission of "reckless conduct", his youth and his remorse at the hearing.
The 21-year-old will now miss the first three weeks of the new Pro12 season for his club, Scarlets. He will also be unavailable for their friendly matches against Bath and Gloucester.
