Cape Town - Springbok flyhalf Johan Goosen's season could be over after he injured his knee during the Boks' 32-16 Rugby Championship loss to the All Balcks in Soweto over the weekend.
The 20-year-old Cheetahs star only recently returned from a shoulder injury and also entered the game against New Zealand with bruised heel.
He was replaced by Elton Jantjies in the first half.
And according to the Rugby365 website, Goosen has a Grade 3 medial tear in his knee and will find out on Tuesday whether he requires surgery which will rule him out of the Springboks' year-end tour of Europe. He will thus also miss the rest of the Currie Cup season with the Free State Cheetahs.
The Boks take on Ireland in Dublin on November 10, followed by Tests against Scotland (November 17-Edinburgh) and England (November 24-London).
