Cape Town - Saracens hooker Schalk Brits could yet find himself in the Springbok squad for the June Test matches.
Bok coach Heyneke Meyer on Monday announced a 36-man squad to attend a national training camp in Durban from May 25 to 28.
However, the final squad for Tests against the World XV, Wales and Scotland will only be named on May 31, and according to Die Burger's website, Brits could be a late inclusion.
Only two hookers - Bismarck du Plessis and Adriaan Strauss - were named in Monday's training squad. Stormers hooker Scarra Ntubeni was named as one of the players not considered for selection due to injury.
This means the position of the third hooker could be filled by an overseas player, possibly the 33-year-old Brits.
Brits, alongside several other players based in France, England and Ireland, were not considered for the camp as most of them are still playing for their respective clubs.
Brits is scheduled to play against the Boks for the World XV at Newlands on June 7, but could possibly also add to his 5 Test caps next month.
