Boks' year end tour confirmed

Cape Town - The Springboks will return to the scene of their 2007 Rugby World Cup triumph for the first time in more than six years when they play France at the Stade de France in Paris on November 23.

This encounter, the final match of the Springboks’ season, will be the first Test against France in Paris since 2005. The French Rugby Federation confirmed the venue for the Test on Friday.

Although they famously won the Webb Ellis Cup at the Stade de France in 2007, South Africa’s last four Tests in France against Les Bleus ended in defeat. The last time the Springboks beat the French on their home turf, was in 1997.

The Test in Paris will conclude the End of Year tour for 2013. The Springboks’ three-Test trip starts against Six Nations champions Wales in Cardiff on Saturday, November 9.

The Springboks’ second Test on the tour, against Scotland at Murrayfield in Edinburgh, will take place on Sunday, November 17 and the final encounter will be in Paris on Saturday, November 23.

End of Year tour details:

Saturday, November 9 – 19:30 SA time: Wales v Springboks, Millennium Stadium, Cardiff
Sunday, November 17 – 17:00 SA time: Scotland v Springboks, Murrayfield, Edinburgh
Saturday, November 23 – 22:00 SA time: France v Springboks, Stade de France, Paris

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
