Cape Town - Springbok management was reluctant to reveal how talks went between coach Heyneke Meyer and Andries Bekker about a possible return to the international fold for the lock.
Meyer on Monday indicated that he was interested in the Test comeback claim of the Japan-based Bekker.
The 31-year-old Bekker, currently on the books of the Kobelco Steelers, is in Cape Town at present and the coach said he would be having a one-on-one with him on Tuesday to gauge his interest in and suitability to returning to green-and-gold duty this year.
Bekker had made himself unavailable for Springbok selection when he moved to Japan in 2013.
When contacted by Netwerk24 about how the meeting between Meyer and Bekker went, Springbok management was reluctant to reveal what transpired.
The chat was described as "private and confidential".
Bekker recently indicated that he would like to represent the Boks again. Whether his contract at the Steelers would allow it, remains an open question.
