4 Bok changes on the cards

Cape Town - Springbok coach Heyneke Meyer looks set to make FOUR changes to his starting XV to take on England at Twickenham on Saturday.

Kick-off is at 16:30 SA time.

According to the SA Rugby magazine website, Sharks back Patrick Lambie is likely to replace Handré Pollard at flyhalf - and is expected to have provincial team-mate Cobus Reinach as his halfback partner.

Reinach, son of former Springbok Jaco, will replace Francois Hougaard who had a forgettable afternoon in the Boks' 29-15 defeat to Ireland in Dublin last weekend.

In the final expected change to the backline, JP Pietersen looks likely to get the nod ahead of Cornal Hendricks on the right wing.

Among the forwards, Adriaan Strauss, the recipient of a yellow card against the Irish, is expected to replace Bismarck du Plessis in the hooker position.

Meyer is also sweating over the fitness of lock Eben Etzebeth (flu) and Marcell Coetzee (hamstring) who both took no part in Tuesday's training session.

Meyer will announce his starting team and substitutes on Wednesday at 13:00 SA time.

Likely Springboks starting XV to face England:

15 Willie le Roux, 14 JP Pietersen, 13 Jan Serfontein, 12 Jean de Villiers (captain), 11 Bryan Habana, 10 Pat Lambie, 9 Cobus Reinach, 8 Duane Vermeulen, 7 Teboho Mohoje, 6 Marcell Coetzee, 5 Victor Matfield, 4 Eben Etzebeth, 3 Jannie du Plessis, 2 Adriaan Strauss, 1 Beast Mtawarira
