How SA stacks up in terms of points scored at the RWC

Cape Town - Despite missing the 1987 and 1991 Rugby World Cup tournaments, the Springboks boast the second-best points-per-match average.

The Boks have played a total of 29 World Cup matches, scoring 1 009 points in the process at a healthy average of 34.8 per match.

Unsurprisingly, the All Blacks lead the way with an average of 46.8 points (43 matches, 2 012 total points).

The Boks have scored 115 tries in their matches - at an average of four per game - with 88 of those being converted.

In disciplinary terms, the Boks don't fare too well, having pick up five yellows and two reds.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
