Cape Town - Springbok and Bulls No 8 Pierre Spies is on the road to recovery - and looks meaner than ever!
Spies has been sidelined for the majority of 2014 with a bicep injury, but is expected back on the field on Monday, January 5 as the Bulls prepare for their Super Rugby campaign.
Spies has lost his starting Springbok berth to the Stormers' Duane Vermeulen, and will have a tough task dislodging the 2014 IRB Player of the Year nominee.
