SA-born Le Roux called up by France

Paris - France have called up Racing 92 flank Bernard le Roux to replace the injured back-row Raphaël Lakafia ahead of the Six Nations.

Lakafia picked up an injury last week and has now been replaced by France head coach Guy Noves.

South African-born Le Roux has won 24 caps for France and was last used back during the Six Nations against England, his first appearance of the 2016 tournament when he started at the Stade de France.

The 27-year-old joins Damien Chouly, Loann Goujon, Kevin Gourdon, Louis Picamoles and Fabien Sanconnie (uncapped) in competing for a place in Noves' back row to face England at Twickenham next Saturday.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
