London - Guinness Premiership side Sale Sharks have confirmed that South African-born England flank Hendre Fourie requires shoulder surgery that will sideline him until next year.
"Hendre injured himself playing for England against Ireland before the Rugby World Cup," said Sale Executive Director of Rugby Steve Diamond.
"He limped off with a hamstring strain but has since been struggling with a shoulder injury that will require surgery. His rehabilitation will start immediately after surgery and we expect him back early in the New Year."
