Cape Town - Flyhalf Tim Swiel, part of this year's winning Under-21 Western Province team, has opted to accept an offer from the Sharks and will move to Durban to further his rugby career.
However, according to the WP Rugby website, WP have moved swiftly to fill the void.
Schoolboy flyhalves Brandon Thomson (SA Schools, 2013) and Ernst Stapelberg (the highly-rated No 10 from Eastern Province) are part of the star-studded Western Province Rugby Insitute intake for next year and will add to the selection options for the WP Under-19 and Under-21 teams in 2014.
In addition, 2012 SA Schools flyhalf Ryno Eksteen is back to full fitness from a knee injury.
Eksteen has two years of Under-21 rugby ahead of him, whilst Thompson and Stapelberg will be Under-19 in 2014.
