WATCH: Blitzboks have some fun with SA arrival

Cape Town - The Blitzboks have prepared, in quite comical fashion, for their arrival back to South Africa as Sevens World Series champions.

Neil Powell's men wrapped up the 2016/17 season last weekend in Paris to win their first World Series title since the 2008/09 season, which meant that their fifth placed finish at this weekend's London Sevens didn't really matter.

The squad will now return to South Africa, where they will be hoping for a heroes welcome upon their arrival.

In order to try and raise awareness of their official arrival, which takes place at Cape Town International Airport at 10:00 on Tuesday, May 23, the Blitzboks have released a video that shows them returning as champions.

In the video, nobody but Seabelo Senatla - who has missed a large chunk of the Sevens season due to his commitment to the Stormers - shows up to welcome the champions home.

Senatla and a cleaner are literally the only two people who are there to congratulate Powell and his men and the Blitzboks, realising that they have the airport to themselves, have some fun.

It certainly is worth a watch, but let's make sure that it does not become a reality on Tuesday!

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
