Blitzboks overcome plucky Scots

Cape Town - The Springbok Sevens side continued their solid start to the Dubai Sevens event with a victory over Scotland in their second pool match on Friday.

The Blitzboks won 21-5, having trailed 5-0 at half-time.

The South Africans couldn't captalise on their early territorial dominance and were caught on the counter as the Scots scored the game's first try shortly before the break.

But South Africa rebounded in the second period, with speedster Seabelo Senatla running in a brace of tries, and Rosko Specman also crossing the whitewash.

In their first game on Friday, the Blitzboks ran in eight tries in beating minnows Uganda 46-0.

In their final game in Pool B, the South Africans will face the USA at 17:06 (SA time) on Friday.
