Blitzboks off to flying start at CT Sevens

Cape Town - The Springbok Sevens team started their Cape Town Sevens campaign on a high note when they thrashed Russia in their opening game on Saturday.

The Blitzboks won 40-5, after leading 26-5 at half-time.

Speedster Seabelo Senatla scored a hat-trick of tries to move within one score of reaching the 200-try milestone on the World Rugby Sevens Series circuit.

The current '200-club' consists of Dan Norton (England, 269), Collins Injera (Kenya, 246), Santiago Gomez Cora (Argentina, 230) and Ben Gollings (England, 220).

Later on Saturday, Senatla will get his chance to reach the milestone when the Blitzboks take on France (16:10) and Kenya (19:56) to complete Pool A action.
