Cape Town - Springbok Sevens duo Werner Kok and Seabelo Senatla both cracked the nod for the Dream Team following the Hong Kong Sevens tournament.
SEVENS WORLD SERIES STANDINGS
The Blitzbokke lost 21-15 in the Cup semi-finals to eventual champions Fiji, but rebounded to claim a valuable 26-5 win over Samoa in the third place playoff match.
It saw them maintain their lead at the top
of the Sevens World Series standings after Fiji beat New Zealand 33-19 in the Cup final.
The South Africans (110 points) have two point lead over Fiji (108), with New Zealand narrowly behind in third (107).
The top four teams on the league table at the end of the season
qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Australia (84) and England (78) will likely fight it out for the valuable fourth spot.
Further consolation for South Africa was Kok and Senatla's inclusion in the Dream Team for the Hong Kong tournament.
Ed Jenkins (Australia), Beaudine Waaka (New Zealand), Pio Tuwai (Fiji), Zach Test (USA) and Samoa Toloa (Samoa) are the other players included in the team.
This weekend, the teams head to Japan for the Tokyo Sevens (April 4 and 5).
