Cape Town - The South Africans Sevens side defeated Scotland in their first group match at the Tokyo Sevens on Saturday.

The Blitzbokke won 14-0, after leading 7-0 at the break.

The South Africans scored tries via captain Kyle Brown and speedster Cornal Hendricks.

Branco du Preez converted both tries.

South Africa next play Portugal (08:03 SA time) and Samoa (11:47) later on Saturday.
