Cape Town - The Springbok Sevens side started their New Zealand Sevens campaign on a high note on Friday.
The Blitzbokke beat Wales 26-0 in their first game of the day in Wellington, before outclassing Portugal 27-5.
They take on England in their final group game at 10:34 (SA time).
The Blitzbokke headed into the weekend’s event at Westpac Stadium looking for a third successive tournament title in what would be a first for the South Africans.
Thanks to their recent Cup victories in Las Vegas and Port Elizabeth, the Blitzbokke currently enjoy a slender one point lead over Sevens World Series champions, New Zealand, at the top of the standings.
