Blitzbokke off to flying start

Cape Town - The South African Sevens team got their HSBC Word Series Port Elizabeth leg campaign off to a winning start on Saturday.

The Blitzbokke beat Samoa 29-7 after leading 17-7 at half-time.

The Blitzbokke scored tries through Cornal Hendricks, Chris Dry (3) and Cecil Afrika. Afrika was on target with two conversions.

Samoa replied with a try by Reupena Levasa and a conversion by Patrick Faapale.

The Blitzbokke will face France (16:40) and Australia (19:36) in their remaining Pool A matches later on Saturday.
