Blitzbokke into Bowl final

Dubai - The Springbok Sevens team managed to save some blushes on day two of their disappointing campaign at this year’s Dubai Sevens, winning both their games on Saturday to move into the Bowl final against Argentina.

The Blitzbokke had to come from behind to beat Russia 25-12 in their quarter-final before dispatching the US 22-14 in their semi and will now face Los Pumas in the Bowl final at 16:24 (SA time) for the eight log points on offer.

Argentina reached the Bowl final after wins over England (24-14) and Scotland (12-5).

On Friday, South Africa lost to Samoa and Portugal to miss out on the Cup quarter-finals.
