Blitzbokke get Australia in PE

Port Elizabeth - The Springbok Sevens side were granted a decent draw ahead of their home tournament next weekend in Port Elizabeth as they were drawn with the team they lost to in the Plate final - Australia.

The Blitzbokke will therefore get a perfect opportunity to exact revenge for their 17-14 loss in that match, and could not have wished for a better draw than Kenya and Canada in Pool C.

England, who won the Emirates Airline Dubai Sevens, have a tough group to play in. Dubai semi-finalists Argentina are joined by the USA and Samoa - the latter who had a shocking time in Dubai and only managed to win the Shield competition. Samoa will be determined to bounce back in PE and would like nothing better than to resurrect some of their tough encounters of the past with England.

Dubai finalists France were also handed a tough draw, getting defending World Series champs New Zealand in their pool, as well as outsiders Scotland and Morocco while Fiji will face Wales, Portugal and Zimbabwe in their pool.

The inability of some of the leading teams to excel in Dubai actually will help the Blitzbokke, as they currently are in third position on the log and will be looking to make up some ground on series leaders Fiji in Port Elizabeth.
