Johannesburg - SuperSport has granted Darren Scott an indefinite leave of absence from his role as a presenter on its channels, in order that he may focus his attention on personal matters, which have been the subject of recent media reports.

According to the Beeld newspaper, Scott has also resigned as presenter on Jacaranda 94.2 after calling a colleague the k-word at the radio station's annual team building function at the Mabula Lodge near Bela Bela last Friday.
The colleague, Africa Tshoaedi, was at the receiving end of Scott's sharp tongue after Tshoaedi had apparently failed on numerous occasions to pay back money that Scott had lent to him.
Jacaranda 94.2 spokesperson Jenny Griesel confirmed his departure from the radio station, where he hosted the "Just Plain" breakfast show.
Meanwhile, Scott called Beeld newspaper on Wednesday to say that he had left SuperSport as well.
Scott's lawyer, Les Morison, called the Afrikaans daily to apologise on Scott's behalf for the phone call, during which Scott reportedly swore.
"People were socialising and drinking in the bar area. The colleague (Tshoaedi) also went to the bar and then Scott said, people who had not paid their debts were not welcome. Tshoaedi then left, but later returned. Scott saw that as a taunt, and used strong words... and called him the k-word," said Morison.
Morison said Scott was "extremely sorry" about what had happened.
SuperSport spokesperson Clinton van der Berg has confirmed that Neil Andrews and Peter Davies would take over as presenters of their Rugby World Cup offering.
John Robbie from 702 confirmed that Scott used the k-word when he tweeted: Just spoke to Darren Scott. Confirmed he used the k-word against a colleague. Said he apologised and is not a racist.
