Sale sign Springbok prop Mujati

London - Springbok prop Brian Mujati has joined Sale Sharks on a two-year deal, the English Premiership club announced on Friday.

The 30-year-old Zimbabwean-born Mujati returns to England, where he has played for Northampton, after a two-season spell with French Top 14 side Racing Metro.

"The Premiership is a highly competitive league to play in but we have some great players here at Sharks and I am looking forward to pulling on a jersey on Saturday afternoon in the game against Leicester Tigers," Mujati said.

Sale's director of rugby Steve Diamond added: "This is the second time I have signed Brian. When I worked for Northampton Saints, heading up their recruitment department, I spotted Brian and he was an instant success at Franklins Gardens.

"He gives 100% every game and was very popular with the fans. I am sure the Sharks fans will be very happy with the signing."

Mujati played 12 Tests for the Boks in 2008.
