Tweet and pic of the day

Cape Town - Injured Springbok lock and vice-captain Victor Matfield (@VictorMatfield) took to the Twitter to express his dismay at being ruled out for ten days with a hamstring injury.

Tweeting in Afrikaans he said “Very frustrated with the hamstring, but happy the boys showed great character. We had a relaxed day today, but tomorrow the work begins again.”

Wallaby wing Digby Ioane (@digbyioane) was slightly more positive about the fractured thumb he suffered against Italy on Sunday morning - an injury which could could rule him out of the rest of the tournament.

Ioane thanked his followers for their support when he tweeted (Sic)Just been blessed by a priest at the hotel! Now can't wait for the surgery an thanks heaps 4 the support my friends:)”

It seems that Wallaby fullback Kurtley Beale was a victim of a prank by team mates James O’Connor and Quade Cooper  today.

Cooper (@QuadeCooper) tweeted a picture of Beale wearing 3D glasses in a cinema (See below). But according to the Queensland Reds flyhalf, they weren't watching a 3D movie.

(Sic)This is @kurtley_beale wearing his 3D glasses in a normal movie hahaha he said its not the best3D..”

Two minutes later Cooper tweeted again, saying (Sic)Me n @JamesOConnor832 told the guy to give him the glasses n tell him its 3D...#valueformoney”
