Tweet and Picture of the Day

Cape Town - Tweets have been hard to come by in Friday's “Tweet and Picture of the Day” as the Springboks recuperate from Thursday’s 87-0 demolition job on Namibia, traveling back to Taupo after the match in Auckland.

This was confirmed Springbok No 8, Pierre Spies (@Pierrespies8), who simply tweeted: "Had such a great day driving from Auckland to Taupo.beautiful scenery, great music & company in @VictorMatfield @JohnSmit123 @butchjames."

Even though the Wallabies were in action against the USA on Friday, most of their non-playing squad have found other ways to keep themselves busy, most notably, star flank, David Pocock.

Pocock (@pocockdavid) tweeted: “(Sic) Some interesting banners in the crowd tonight. "Dingo stole my baby!" and "Time to neuter Cooper" prob most 'interesting'. Haha what's doing”

Earlier in the day, Pocock also wished former Wallabies wing, Lote Tuqiri (@LoteTuqiri), Happy Birthday, who celebrates his 32nd birthday today.

"(Sic) Happy birthday @LoteTuqiri ... good to see @drew_mitchell get a meat pie. #whackwhack"

Meanwhile South African tweep, sportbilly (@sportbilly101), only known as “Andy” pointed out shortly after the Wallabies match that nobody has really missed a former Aussie talisman.

“Matt Giteau has just put his phone on silent. #DingoCalling”

After arriving back in Taupo, the Springboks did South Africa's other favourite pastime, doing their part for National Braai Day.

Fresh off his record-breaking exploits against Namibia, Bok wing, Bryan Habana tweeted: "@janbraai we played our part here tonight for #nationalbraaiday!! @Francoishougi showing us how!! lockerz.com/s/141190686", which features another Bok who is on fire at the RWC.
